a great service. Just look at the numbers who passed with us
in the last month alone. And that's just those who gave permission to publish their
names. we turn vast numbers of learners into drivers. Our aim is to get you through
the test as quickly and as safely as possible.
What do I need before I start?
Before you can begin your driving lessons you need to be at least 17 years of age
and hold a valid provisional driving licence which can be obtained by completing
a D1 form at the post office and sending it to the DVLA. You will also need to send
your passport or birth certificate and a passport sized photo as proof of identification.
Those wishing to get a head start can apply for their provisional licence up to
3 months before their 17th birthday, and could even book their first lesson for
that special day.
How many lessons will I need?
According to the driving standards agency, on average, most people currently need
at least 45 hours of tuition with a qualified driving instructor, plus an additional
20 hours of private practice before they are ready to take their test. Research
has shown that those students who take this amount of tuition usually pass first
time. However, this should only act as a guide and should be discussed with your
driving instructor after your first few lesson.
How long are the lessons?
Whilst a lot of driving schools give their pupils one hour lessons, at Needdrivinglessons.com
Driving School, we believe that 1 and half or 2 hour lessons are more beneficial
to our clients, so we have designed driving lesson packages to cater for your individual
requirements. Not only will this reduce the number of lessons you need and thus
the overall costs, but will give you more time to take in what your instructor tells
you and to put it into practice. One hour lessons can prove to be less effective
for some learners because quite often, a lot of the time is spent recapping on the
previous lesson and preparing for the next therefore limiting what you learn and
giving you less value for money.
